Don't Ignore These
Warning Signs Your HVAC System Needs Attention Now
Your system will tell you when something's wrong. Here's what to listen and look for — and what each symptom typically means.
Warm Air Blowing from Vents
If your AC is running but pushing warm air, the most common culprits are low refrigerant charge, a failed compressor, or a seized reversing valve. Each requires a licensed technician to diagnose and correct.
Short-Cycling — Unit Clicks On and Off Repeatedly
When a unit cycles on and off in rapid succession without reaching the set temperature, it's burning out its own components. Get it looked at before the compressor goes.
Strange Sounds From Your Indoor or Outdoor Unit
A well-maintained HVAC system runs quietly. Any new or persistent noise — grinding, squealing, or metallic clanking — deserves immediate attention before a minor issue becomes a major failure.
Utility Costs Climbing While Comfort Drops
A sudden jump in electricity bills without a change in usage patterns almost always means your system is losing efficiency — dirty coils, low refrigerant, clogged filters, or a struggling compressor all cause the unit to run longer cycles and burn more power.
Moisture or Refrigerant Leaks Around the Unit
Any moisture accumulation beyond normal condensate drain activity is a sign something has failed. Don't let a small drip become water damage inside your walls or ceiling.
Some Rooms Too Hot, Others Too Cold
Inconsistent temperatures across Poteet homes usually trace back to duct leakage, improperly balanced dampers, a failing zone controller, or a unit that's the wrong size for the load. A proper load calculation and duct inspection can identify the cause.
What We Do
From Emergency Repairs to New Installations — HVAC Repair CO Does It All
Whether you need an emergency repair at 3 a.m., a full system replacement, or a maintenance contract to prevent the breakdowns that cost the most, we cover every angle of HVAC service across Poteet.
Emergency HVAC Repair — 24/7 Rapid Response
HVAC emergencies don't follow office hours. A compressor that seizes at 11 p.m., a heat exchanger that cracks in February, or a refrigerant leak discovered on a holiday weekend — these can't wait until Monday. HVAC Repair CO dispatches within the hour on confirmed emergency calls, with a fully stocked truck and a licensed technician who can handle the repair, not just diagnose and reschedule.
Compressor and contactor replacement
Refrigerant recharge and leak location
Capacitor and motor replacement
Control board diagnostics and repair
Heat exchanger inspection and emergency heat setup
HVAC Installation in Poteet — Load Calculations, Not Guesswork
A system that's the wrong size for your home will never perform correctly — regardless of brand. It'll either short-cycle (oversized) or run continuously without hitting the set temperature (undersized). HVAC Repair CO runs Manual J load calculations on every installation to determine the exact BTU capacity your home or building requires before we recommend any equipment. We carry and install Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, and York systems — and we'll tell you honestly which tier makes sense for your situation.
Manual J load calculation — every job
Central AC, heat pump, and gas furnace systems
Ductless mini-split installation (single and multi-zone)
Air handler and coil replacement
Ductwork modification and sealing
Post-install commissioning and airflow verification
Tune-Up and Maintenance Plans That Keep Systems Running Efficiently
The most expensive HVAC repair is usually the one that could have been caught in a $150 tune-up six months earlier. Compressor failure after years of low refrigerant, a cracked heat exchanger that ran all winter, a coil choked with three years of debris — these are all maintenance-failure stories. HVAC Repair CO's seasonal maintenance visits include a full-system inspection and performance test, not just a filter swap.
Refrigerant pressure and charge verification
Coil cleaning — evaporator and condenser
Electrical connection inspection and torque check
Blower motor amp draw and belt inspection
Thermostat calibration and control check
Condensate drain cleaning and flush
Full operating performance report after each visit
Commercial properties in Poteet face IAQ challenges at scale — higher occupancy, more CO₂ buildup, stricter ASHRAE ventilation requirements. We assess, spec, and install commercial-grade IAQ solutions that integrate directly with your existing air handling equipment.

Why HVAC Repair CO
Concrete Reasons Poteet Homeowners Keep Calling Us Back
We're not asking for your trust based on marketing language. We're asking you to measure us against these specifics — and hold us to them.
NATE-Certified Technicians on Every Call
We don't send apprentices solo or dispatch people who aren't certified. When a HVAC Repair CO truck pulls up, the person getting out of it is qualified to diagnose and fix the system — not just describe what's wrong and quote a replacement.
Flat-Rate Pricing — Locked Before Work Starts
Parts markups are included. Labor is included. There are no fuel surcharges, no disposal fees added at invoice, and no "miscellaneous materials" line. The quote is the bill.
Fully Stocked Trucks — Most Repairs Done on Visit One
For most standard repairs in Poteet, the part is already on the truck. That means your system is running again the same day, not after a parts-order waiting period.
Written Labor Warranty — Every Repair
If a repair we complete fails again within the warranty period due to our workmanship, we come back and correct it at no charge. This is in writing on every invoice — not a verbal assurance you can't enforce.
No High-Pressure Sales Tactics
Our business runs on repeat calls and referrals, not one-time replacement sales. That changes how we think about every recommendation we make in Poteet homes.
Commercial and Residential — One Company
Property managers and building owners in Poteet, TX often need a single HVAC contractor who can handle residential units in one building and commercial RTUs in another. HVAC Repair CO fields both — with technicians who are specifically trained for each setting, not cross-assigned out of convenience.
Our Commitment
What We Stand Behind When We Leave Your Property
We also guarantee the diagnostic accuracy of every service call. If we recommend a repair and after completing it the root cause turns out to be something different, we don't bill you for the additional correction — that's our diagnostic error, not yours.
We stand behind the equipment we install, the refrigerant charge we set, the electrical work we complete, and every system we leave running. That's what it means to put our name on the work.
What Poteet, TX Homeowners Say After Calling HVAC Repair CO
★★★★★
Called at midnight because the AC went out and we had family visiting. The dispatcher answered immediately, and a tech was at my door in under 45 minutes. Turned out to be a failed run capacitor — he had the part on the truck, swapped it out, and we were cool again by 1:30 a.m. Charged exactly what he quoted before touching it. That's how it should work every time.

Poteet, TX — Emergency AC Repair
★★★★★
Three HVAC companies told me I needed a full system replacement. HVAC Repair CO's tech ran an actual diagnostic, found a cracked secondary heat exchanger in the furnace, and replaced the heat exchanger assembly. Cost me a fraction of what the others quoted for a new system, and the furnace has run perfectly since. Glad I got a second — well, fourth — opinion.

Poteet — Property Manager, Maintenance Agreement
★★★★★
The installation crew was thorough and clean. They ran new refrigerant lines, fixed a duct branch that had been improperly sized, and spent an hour walking me through the new thermostat setup. One of the few contractors I've had who left a space cleaner than they found it.

Poteet, TX — New System Installation
★★★★★
Commercial refrigeration failing on a Saturday with a full weekend of bookings ahead — HVAC Repair CO sent someone with actual commercial experience. He diagnosed a TXV failure and refrigerant undercharge, corrected both, and we never had to close. Will absolutely keep them on call.
Switched to HVAC Repair CO for our building maintenance after going through three other contractors who kept missing things on inspection. The difference is that their techs actually document what they find and follow up on it. We finally have a maintenance partner, not just a service vendor.
Emergency dispatch runs 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Most Poteet emergency calls see a technician arrive within one to two hours. Our dispatcher will tell you the realistic ETA when you call — not a best-case guess.
Brand coverage is comprehensive. We work on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, and others. The only time brand matters for part availability is on very old or discontinued equipment — in those cases, we'll tell you upfront whether an OEM or aftermarket part is the best option.
Flat-rate pricing means you're quoted a complete price for the repair before work begins — parts, labor, and materials included. That number doesn't change based on how long the job takes. The only scenario where additional charges apply is if the diagnosis reveals a second, unrelated issue that you choose to repair in the same visit — and that's always quoted separately before we proceed.
Age matters alongside cost. A repair that costs $400 on a 5-year-old Trane is an easy call. The same repair on a 16-year-old Rheem approaching end-of-life efficiency ratings is a harder call — because the next component failure is likely already in the queue. Our technicians will give you honest guidance with specific numbers for your system's situation, not a default recommendation toward replacement.
Ask your HVAC Repair CO technician to run a payback calculation based on your current utility rates and usage patterns in Poteet. The right SEER rating depends on your climate zone, runtime hours, and how long you plan to stay in the home — not on what the manufacturer markets as premium.
Commercial systems, systems serving occupied spaces with high particulate loads (restaurants, medical offices, manufacturing), and systems in coastal salt-air environments should be serviced more frequently — typically quarterly or per manufacturer specification. Our maintenance agreements are structured around your system's actual service requirements.
A proper refrigerant service includes leak detection, leak repair, system evacuation (pulling moisture and non-condensables out of the line set), and then recharging to the manufacturer's specified pressure. Skipping any of these steps degrades system performance and shortens compressor life. Call us — refrigerant service is one of the most common repair calls we run in Poteet.
Manufacturer rebates and federal tax credits for qualifying high-efficiency systems can also offset upfront installation costs. We'll identify any current incentives applicable to the equipment you're considering in Poteet, TX before you make a final decision.
Our labor warranty covers the specific failure mode we repaired. If the repair we performed fails again within the warranty period due to our workmanship — incorrect installation, missed secondary cause, improper part application — we return and correct it at no labor charge. Parts carry their own manufacturer warranties, which run separately and are registered on your behalf for qualifying equipment.
Common ductwork indicators: significant temperature variation between rooms with no zoning explanation, rooms that never get comfortable regardless of thermostat setting, visible gaps or disconnected sections in accessible attic or crawl space runs, unusually high utility bills relative to system age, or noticeable air quality issues like excessive dust near supply registers.
If you'd like proof of insurance or license numbers before service, we're happy to provide both. Call +1-844-611-2875 and ask the dispatcher — it's a routine request and we take it as a positive sign that you're careful about who you let work on your home.
